The Long Tailed Pony

My sister and I were raised in Colorado growing up horseback riding the rockies. Our childhood always felt more like a scene from a Hollywood western than the realty of life in the 1960's, 70's and 80's.  Being blessed with two opposites, our mother, the epitome of Caroline Ingles in Little House on the Prairie was the homemaker who taught us right from wrong.  Our father, somewhere between Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday, a cowboy through and through, both then and now, taught us how to shoot, hold our own and to be independent and strong.  Mom's lessons were taught with kindness and patience. Dad's lessons were taught through story telling.  The Long Tailed Pony Books are his stories. 

The Long Tailed Pony Books are a published tribute to our dad, his friendship, morals, lessons and teachings.

Today 2021, my sister and I are all grown up with children and grandchildren of our own.  Lessons and traditions were passed down from our parents and grandparents to my sister and I, who have continued to pass those down, with the hopes the tradition will continue.  Mom made sure good ole fashioned values continued through the generations.  From the jellies and jams, the canning and sealing, the planting and growing, the knitting and sewing, the baking and cooking were those family secrets shared from her.  Mom is the warmth, the love and the comforts of home.   The stories belong to dad but the boutique belongs to mom.  The Long Tailed Pony Boutique are her traditions.
